ABOUT SCOTT

Scott is a 30-year veteran of TV, film and theatre. Currently he is directing his second feature FUSION. His first feature film Matriarch won Best Film at Glasgow Horror Fest in 2018 then secured a theatrical deal with Cineworld Glasgow and Los Angeles’ Royal Laemmlle Movie Theatre. Matriarch was signed by sales agency Covert Media (Fury - Brad Pitt. Bad Grampa - Robert De Niro) and sold to multiple territories including Lionsgate for North American rights, Sony Germany, and Sky UK. The news was featured in Screen Daily during the European Film Market.

Shortly after the US release of Matriarch Scott signed by US agency 3 Arts Entertainment. Last Spring Matriarch made its UK TV premiere on the Horror Channel in the prime Saturday 9pm slot.

Scott travels all over the world coaching and mentoring actors and is one of the elite few acting authorities who has walked the path as a lead actor in TV drama but also has direct acting lineage to the great Sir Laurence Olivier. Scott was trained by Paul Gregory who was mentored and taught by Sir Laurence and Scott brings a wealth of knowledge and techniques from him.

Scott was born in Manchester, UK and performed in theatre throughout his childhood. After theatre college, Scott became a soloist performaer at The Moulin Rouge, Paris then moved to the USA where he performed for Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruises. Scott returned to the UK and joined the cast of Boogie Nights the Musical and then appeared in the West End production of Chicago between 2004 and 2007. Scott then switched to screen acting and appeared in TV productions such as Foyles War, Sirens, Hollyoaks and was a regular actor on BBC’s River City appearing in over 200 episodes. 

Scott also worked for many years in commercial film, producing and directing on over 100 projects. During this time, Scott began to write and direct his own material.

His first short film Advance to Contact starred Frances Barber, Sarah Jayne Dunn and Matthew Crompton and achieved distribution with Shorts International and has been downloaded more that 100,000 times across 20 countries. Scott based the script on the actual accounts of a soldier he spoke to during his time researching PTSD at Combat Stress UK. Following the film’s success, Scott was made an ambassador of Erskine Veteran’s Charity.
